Kathleen McGinley, certified holistic life coach, uses the resources from the "Island of Healing" to help you gently release those things that no longer serve you as you safely explore your connections with yourself, others and this magical paradise. Cost: Package includes 10 days/9 nights of luxurious oceanfront accommodations, transportation to and from the airport, escorted listed excursions, and more! Prices: $2,897 single occupancy, oceanfront room, queen bed, private bath, ( or $5,394 double occupancy). Upstairs suite: $5,694/dbl occupancy, king bed, private balcony. Airfare, meals out, tips, optional excursions and travel insurance are not included. Register early as retreat is limited to 7 participants. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will reserve your room. 50% of cost must be received by March 1, 2011. Balance must be received by May 1, 2011 via check or PayPal. Tentative Itinerary:
Day 1: Monday (July 18, 2011) Arrive at Hilo airport. Transportation provided to your luxurious Kapoho home. Evening snacks will be available during orientation.
Day 2: Tuesday (July 19, 2011) Yoga and meditation offered. Breakfast at the house, followed by experiential group activity. Group will travel the “Red Road” along the coast, explore Mackenzie Park and hike the lava fields to the Black Sand Beach. Snorkeling lessons will be provided in the pool and the tidepools. Dinner will be served at the house.
Day 3: Wednesday (July 20, 2011) Group will leave for Kona to explore the west side of the Island by snorkeling at Honaunau Bay, a resting place for the dolphins, and then visting the Place of Refuge (sacred healing sanctuary). Lunch will be at Huggo’s on the Bay. Group will stay overnight at a resort in Kona. Group has option of attending an authentic luau for additional cost.
Day 4: Thursday (July 21, 2011) Group will have the option of purchasing a dolphin excursion or stay at the resort town of Kailua- Kona.. Group will drive north through "Cowboy Country", stop for dinner in Hilo and then return to house in Kapoho.
Day 5: Friday (July 22, 2011 . The group will head to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park . Group will explore the Chain of Craters Road and hike the Thurston Lava Tube where the group will experience the goddess of the volcano, Pele'. Lunch will be at Kiawa Kitchen at the park. Remainder of day will be at house with quiet time, swimming or snorkeling.
Day 6: Saturday (July 23, 2011) We will meet with Dr. Susan Gregg who will conduct a seminar while “floating” in the geothermally heated springs in Kapoho. Dinner will be served at house. After dinner we will drive to Kalapana to view the effects of the recent lava flow.
Day 7: Sunday (July 24, 2011) Group will experience the Maku'u Farmer's Market. Later the group will explore Kehena Beach, a black sand beach that rests beneath the cliffs, where the group has an opportunity to swim in the surf. Group will eat in Pahoa at Kaleo's.
Day 8: Monday (July 25, 2011) Day is open for individuals to “Island Hop”. Transportation will be provided to and from airport. Those who stay behind will be able to swim, snorkel or go into Hilo for the day. Dinner will be on own.
Day 9: Tuesday (July 26, 2011) Individuals will experience lomi lomi massage. Group may stay at the house or snorkel in tidepools. Farewell dinner will be served at the house.
Day 10: Wednesday (July 27, 2011) After breakfast, group will spend the morning packing. Group will travel to Hilo to Farmer's Market and explore Rainbow Falls prior to leaving. Lunch will be at Cafe Pesto. Transportation provided to airport.
Other activities will be included upon determination of the group’s needs and abilities.
