HAWAIIAN WELLNESS RETREAT July 19-26, 2007
Phoenix
Adventure Trip to Hawaii - Excerpt from Sonia V.
For me the Phoenix health and wellness course was “a
dream in a lifetime” that came true. It was a practical
“hands-on” learning experience about what it
means to practice health and wellness on multiple levels
of the physical, spiritual, and mental. Hawaii itself is
a most perfect place of adventure as to where to begin.
I used this opportunity to re-examine what I had been doing
and not doing for my health and well-being. The days were
fun-filled adventure trips to various beautiful locations,
yet there was actual time set aside to journal, think, and
decide what practical “changes” one could make
in life, one tiny step at a time. Hawaii is this beautiful
island, bursting with life and beckoning one to see, taste,
and experience “colors, dreams, and sights”
that will stay with you forever!
In addition to all the beautiful wonders to experience,
there is then a wonderful opportunity for growth in companionship
as well. You did not have to share any experiences or stories,
but the opportunity was freely presented in a loving circle
of new friends. For a lot of us women, each day was a gift
as Kathy would actually cook, feed, and guide us in different
avenues of possibilities. When have I ever been really taken
care of while on vacation?!
After this wonderful vacation adventure, I then have taken
some baby steps as to small changes that will be most helpful
for my health. I am most curious as to the level of peace
I can keep throughout this hectic and pivotal year of changes
at work, knowing that I have my faith and some “tools”
at my disposal. We will always have Hawaii!
